Few sports bring friends together more frequently and for longer periods of time than golf.  Golf brings likeminded people together, enabling the development and maintenance of lasting friendships.  In fact, it was P.G. Wodehouse, noted English writer and humorist  who once said, "To find a man's true character, play golf with him." (or her)

The Tanglewood Golf Association (TGA) has served for a quarter of a century fostering friendships and building comradery among players.  No greater example of the powers this great game has was recently witnessed in Lansing, Michigan this past July when TGA members Mick Karchinski and Tim Smith met with Canadian TGA member Brent Murday for a few days of golf, socialization and just plain fun.

The two Americans and six Canadians played at Eagle Eye Golf Course and Hawk Hollow in East Lansing.  It has been an annual outing for many of the Canadians for a number of years.

Golf allows you to explore many dimensions of your personality and the personality of others.  Whether you've had a shoddy work week or wish to celebrate a fantastic personal achievement, the golf course provides the ideal setting for people to come together and share those moments with you. And, given that it is a relatively quiet game, golf gives you quality time to talk and share stories as you make your way around the course. Following a game, a beer and a burger at the clubhouse bar can be an excellent way to wind down and meet even other golfers.​
